    That’s right…bring your living room to your front lawn and your dining room to your patio!   General Gordon JKC showed its love for the amazing sun shining day with carpet toys and easel painting in the courtyard and snack time in the butterfly garden.  How did the sun inspire you today?!

Stepping into Spring

Due to changes in the school calendar Spring Break is now a glorious two weeks long! JKC will be open for the full two weeks from 7:30am – 6:00pm with some exciting programs. Daily or weekly registration is required and additional fees will apply. Member fees reflect only the additional portion of the day and all fees include lunch, two snacks and all activity costs. Registration forms will be available soon. Current members will have the opportunity to register beginning on February 15th. Spring Break! Get There.

JKC is offering care for Spring Break from March 16th – 20th.  Early Bird Registration forms will only be available at our centres and only to currently registered members or drop-in members (with paid parent deposit and annual membership fee) on Monday, February 23rd @ 3:00pm.  General Registration forms will be available online and at our centres on Monday, March 9th.  Spring Break activities are TBA.  Please check our website for updates.  This year’s gonna be extreme excitement so make sure you submit your registrations!

Don’t you wanna see what your kids are doing at JKC? The Older Kids’ Program at Bayview embarked on an adventurous scavenger hunt around downtown during Spring Break 2008. These kooky kids shook hands with friendly new people, did push-ups in retail stores, posed with statues, mimicked window mannequins, performed for speakers’ corner, took an inside tour of a police car (by request of course!), danced in a hotel lobby and much, much more! Groups of four travelled together with a staff and explored how spending time with their friends and enjoying Vancouver’s simplest pleasures can be so much fun…and…
